hi there, im a vet in jb and was going thru this site until i saw your posting.
its quite interesting that u requested for flubendazole (it falls under the class of benzimidazoles)! The reason that i say that is because its comparatively expensive and there are other replacements for it!
For deworming purposes, if you still want to use this particular class of parasiticides i do recommend albendazole or mebendazole that not only works equally the same but are slightly cheaper.
The reason flubendazole is more expensive is because its the newer generation, and its marketed here in Malaysia under the brand name
Flubenol KH paste (Janssen)
As far as i know that is the only one available here. In other parts of the world there also Flubenol (Boehringer Ingelheim) as with Flubenol KH. I have used it before and the efficacy is about the same with the rest of the older generations as parasiticides.
Best of luck |

Dear alenquer,
Do make sure you consult your vet before using any veterinary drugs. A slightly wrong dosage may lead to deleterious effect to your pets. |

Hi HanMRCVS,
Thanks for the advise. Really appreciate it. I will try my local vets or pharmacy for albendazole or mebendazole but I will try to get Janssen for a flubenol quotation. I have used flubenol before and find it very effective against internal parasite. The reason Im looking for other sources is my current source for flubenol is very expensive.
Hi Dr. TanDY,
Thanks for your concern. I have used this medicine before and so far it works fine and the pets is doing alright. |

| Just because your pets seem ok, doesn't mean its alright. When anything shows, it might be a little too late. Your veterinarian is the only person who is licensed and qualified to prescribe medication for your pets, so don't attempt to give your pets any over-the-counter or prescription medication without some guidance. |
