Anyone fans of this comic Initial D? I heard it is quite a famous comic. I watch the making of the movie Initial D and anime shown on TV, quite interesting.
Any comments the comic better or the anime better? Plan to rent the comic or vcd. |

Both the comics and Anime are cool. The movie suks imo! they mess up the characters from the original story.
Anyways, you've got to get the anime. They're good. I've got them from the beginning of stge 1 all the way to stage 4. Its not liecenced so you can download it for free. I don't know about now. I've seen it in DVD, maybe they've got liecence now.
Anyway, its worth it, if your're in about cars, races, and speed. |

I rented the comics. Very nice, but still have to wait for the new one to come out. I watched a few episodes of the anime from tv, quite nice. Nice sound too. My brother got the anime, got to borrow from him.
Haven't got the chance to watch the movie yet.
After read the comics, make me got the urge to buy car to do drifting. |

| Haven't watch that yet. Plan to. Wait till I get a LCD TV with HDMI DVD player. Will watch it with High definition TV. |

One thing about the fast and furious movies. They featured lots of cars, from different country, especially japanese cars. They have Evo, GTR, etc. But if you noticed, the last car the main character will used will always be "American muscle". Well they are Americans anyway.
Just a point to ponder. |

Yah,but it was an american car with a japanese engine....the heart is japanese....
Guess which is more important?????Hahahahahahahaha! :lol:
Besides, American Muscle Cars look horrible.........there was a Ford Mustang in the covenant...at least they have changed the look...
Inital D was good for the first 3 stages. Then 4th stage started to get boring...he kept winning for goodness sake...like no one can challenge him!!! The god of hand and god of foot episodes were pretty good.....
Have stopped watching already.... :?
Movie....hmmm...ok only lah. The cantonese version was really funny! Cinematography was good, graphics good, driving skill top-notch... did you know all the driving stunts were real? No CGIs at all! All the drivers acting was baaaadddd......good actors were Wong Chau Sang and Kenny B! Storyline was hopelessly botched, wish they followed closer to the anime/manga........girl was ugly....love story overrated....
Apo-pirate, don't lose faith in the forum! Even if only a few of us.......nevermind as long as we're having fun!

Oh if you want to drift, go to the arcade and try the Initial D driving game. Pretty tough!
Comes with Akina mountain roads and stuff! Safer way to drift... :D |

I like stage 4. Somehow the anime looks better than the previous stages. And his father bought a Subaru Imprenza. Wonder if he will be using it for racing. Anyway, I think Takumi will be losing any time soon..........maybe.
Hey I like the Mustang. Have you played Need for Speed Undeground Most Wanted? you should see how cool the car can be if you know how to modify it.

for drifting, Fast n' furious tokyo drift is nothing,
check out videos like options, Best motoring hot versions, get the Drift bible by
the drift king, hang out at sites like zerotohundred.com
from rm 5k onwards, one can get a toyota KE fully? modded, and start beginner drifting,
there are drifting events/clinics , msia hv our own drift king in Tengku Djan,
which made it into the D1 grandprix in US last year......
sadly the malaysian D1 grandprix is dead.... |
