Feline lovers can now look forward to another new and innovative dry cat food variant from Purina Friskies, the cat food specialist.
Purina PetCare (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, on March 31, launched Purina Friskies Marine Balance, which ingredients include salmon, tuna and seaweed.
“Cats have very different nutritional needs and Purina Friskies Marine Balance is a complete and balanced cat food formulated to be high in protein, easily digestible and full of beneficial vitamins and minerals,” said Purina’s country business manager Ernest Yong.
“Seaweed is an added innovation and it is a natural anti-oxidant that provides green vegetables plus minerals salts to cats,” he told reporters at the launch in Shah Alam.
Purina PetCare claimed that Marine Balance contained enriched Omega 3 fatty acids and other essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals, which are necessary for cats to ensure healthy skin and a glossy coat.
It is available in two flavours – Ocean Fish and Mackerel & Seafood, and comes in five convenient packs between 80 g and 7 kg.
Purina has planned a number of activities throughout the launch weekend from March 31 to April 2 at Giant hypermarket in Shah Alam including a fund raising campaign with proceeds from cats and kitten grooming and health checks going to Paws Animal Welfare Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Yong said Purina would be introducing more products in the second half of the year. “Purina is the leading brand in pet food, be it cat or dog food and we are targeting to achieve double-digit revenue growth this year.”
