hi i'm new here & very inexperience with cat care.
i'm currently staying at hostel. me & my roomies are currently taking care of this stray cat. She's been around this hostel for quite some time. Anyway, when we first found start taking care of her, she was pregnant.
She just gave birth to 3 cute kitties last wednesday (its been a week now) and they're currently 'living' in a box where we've put some towels & newspapers inside.
The things is, the box is placed outside of our room (at the corridor) and she had came in to our room for several times & seems like she's trying to find a new hiding place. (under the bed, inside the locker).once she actually carried one of the kitten in. and also we noticed this 'garang' looking male cat had been around the box a few times. we're afraid that he'll eat the kittens.
another problem is, the kittens seems to be shaking a lot. the eyes are still closed and they can barely walk. and they also have fleas. is it normal or do u think that we shud bring them to see vet? if so, is there any government vet clinic around klang valley?
thanks! |

motor function of young kittens will slowly improve with time and their eyes will slowly open with time (more or less 10 days?).
as with the fleas, i think its important that you treat the mother as that will stop the fleas from going to the kittens. Frontline (there are many other products) is safe for nursing mother and you can get that from your nearest vet where he or she can guide you with the product usage.
i only know of 1 gov vet practice in cheras. where abouts in kl do you stay? |

All cats have celebrities name - Tommy Lee Jones or Tommy Lee, Christina Milan, Paris Hilton, Jeremy or Jason London (both are twins and actors, but perhaps not too famous, hehe..) |
