Guys,
I am here out of slight desperation. I have a 7 month old german sherpherd whom suffered a 10-feet fall 2 months ago, he landed on his backside and had been bed ridden in UPM Vet for about 2 weeks.
I brought him home and have been nursing him all this while. 1 month ago, I brought him back to UPM Vet of a follow up and Dr. recoemended a Milogram and surgery as they suspect there is compression on the spine. I opted to wait for another month since his recovery for the first months was good.
He is walking, but somehow he tends to limb towards the right side (hind legs). His recovery has been like step-ups, meaning one "big" recovery, and then stop there for few days, and then another improvement.
His improvement has stopped for about 2 weeks now. I have a friend whom is a race horse trainer whom recommended that i seek advice from Chiropractor (doctors who specialise in bones and muscles).
Do any one here has a good place to recommend.
Reasons for not wanting a surgery is 1) very costly, 2) no guarantee it will recover 3) i think it is risky. I rather do it the Chinese SenSei way.
Please help. My number is 016 335 1289, or email me at weng.mak@gmail.com or just reply here for the benefit of all.
Thanks so much for your help. |

| What makes you think a chiropracter is 1) cheaper, 2) works better than surgery, 3) less risky to try out compared to a diagnosis via myelogram? |

| What is the diagnosis from UPM? If the diagnosis is incomplete, I'd suggest that you try getting a final diagnosis. Only then would you know if your dog's injury is treatable or not, and what is the best method of treatment. Trying out anything else before you even know the whole picture on the condition of your dog, may be just a stab in the dark (meaning, a waste of money most of the time) |

| Dr Lim in Old Klang Road - Animal Polyclinic - does accupuncture if you'd like to see if that helps. Tel no is 03 79827432. I don't know of anyone who is an animal chiropractor. |
