Hi,
This might be 'sensitive topic'. I just need to know.is there any chances male cat like male cat?I know it sounds ridiculous...but i am serious. Hope someone can help me on this. if possible, give me some facts to prove it (study etc).
Thanks. |

Haha! Interesting question.
My interpretation -
Male cats dont actually "like" or fall in love with other male cats. You can probably see male animals mounting other male animals (same with female-female mounting), but their behaviour is just to show dominance. Meaning, the cat that is mounting is the one higher up in the heirarchy. You may notice other signs of heirarchy, such as the dominant one eating first, the submissive one staying out of the way, etc. |

Thanks Dr Nat...
I can see the signs of dominance...but sometimes the sign is wrong...when the male cat starts to jump on the other male cat to mate...i dont think its normal :p is the cat confused because there's no female cat around?or he's just playing?is there a way for me to stop this?Should i castrate him?

Cats wont be confused because there's no females around. Cats (and dogs) dont have the concept of sexuality. That is just a human comprehension (and a few other animals). So, you cannot compare how a human feels with your cats.
Once dominance is already set in the heirarchy, you should see less of this happening. Castrating BOTH of them will help too. But there's no 100% way of stopping it entirely. |
