I recently bought a female guinea pig and she was bleeding. I'm not sure if it was coming out from her anus or vagina or both.
Anyways, I returned the guinea pig to the breeder and it appears that several other female guinea pigs from the same cage was bleeding in the similar manner as well. I read online that female guinea pigs do not bleed when they are on heat.
What's wrong with them? Is it contagious to other guinea pigs & does it affect male guinea pigs?
p/s: I exchange that female guinea pig for a male one from the same cage instead. I'm worried about mixing him together with my other guinea pigs at home. Pls advise~ |
