Hi all,
I heard there is an alternative to spaying female cats, which is a contraceptive injection available in veterinary clinics and it lasts for a year?
Any side effects?
I have this female cat roaming around my house, but it belonged to someone, about 5 houses away...... It appears to me the owner are not bothered with her (and her brother), they are always roaming around my house for food! (and they eat a lot!) I have an issue with the owner, so don't think I will talk to them.... but I would like to prevent the female one from getting pregnant, so rather than spaying, I thought of sending her for a contraceptive measures...
Thanks, any opinion or alternatives, or ideas are much welcomed. |

Hi... we just kept another kitten that came to our house. We wanted to spayher but the vet said that she's still too small but my mum still so worry if she will get pregnant so my mum bought the contraceptive pill to her hehehehehe (have to give her twic a month until we send her for spaying)
* the tablets is quite cheap ---> one table for RM 2 so we spent RM4 a month to keep her 'pragnant free' :D |

| bina, I cannot really recommend giving the cat any contraceptives. In case you haven't heard of it yet, contraceptives actually cause a lot of problems especially when given long term. So, it might end up worse for the cat, when later on she gets a bad uterine infection and your neighbour doesn't do anything!! |
