Hi,
I was thinking of volunteering at the UPM veterinary hospital for about a week but i have transportation problems as UPM is rather far for me. I doubt my parents would allow me to drive there everyday so my idea was to bunk in with a student maybe? Any ideas or suggestions? Or if anyone who works/studies in UPM lives in PJ and commutes there everyday, maybe he/she could give me a ride?
Btw, whats the protocol for volunteering?
Do pls help! |

| Rather then going to UPM, why dont you try your local vet clinic first. when you get a rough idea about work in a vet clinic then you can consider. Remember that UPM will have to thing of the students first an outsider may not be in their best interest. but during the university holidays that may be different. that is the time any help will be useful. I will pm you the email of some of my freinds still working there if you are interested. |

Hi there,
Based on my past experience, you'll have to fill in a form from the UVH admin office about volunteering in UVH, though they'll give a higher priority to UPM students and you may have to wait a while for any replies. I forgot what form was it, but you can try contacting the UVH admin office (it's on the vet.upm.edu.my website) preferably by phone. They rarely check their emails on a day-to-day basis.
Good luck! |
