Hi~ I'm Gary as a new member here and my little princess SASA. Purpose of posting this subject is to share the stories of pugs and also some hints for taking care of a pug. Sasa was born in 29th Oct 2007 & going to reach 6 months old. She was extremely CUTE & hyper-active type. I believe u guys must love her very very much if u see her. Although she is going to enter her sixth month, but her size is just tiny as a 2 months old pug. I've seen numerous of pug but mine was the tiniest even mine was the elder one. Maybe Sasa belongs to the smaller breed of pug. But she just look cute and perfect now in this size. Nice to meet u all here...
Don't u think she is cute?

hi Gary, i have a pug too... her name is Sookie, adopted from spca selangor 5 years ago... duno how old sookie really is, coz different vet has estimated different age, but i think she should be about 8 yrs old now...
i read abt Sasa's skin problem... mayb u could try feeding raw food... i am fostering another pug now with severe skin problem... this morning i have started both pugs on raw diet... after much reading and research, i think a raw diet could help to improve the skin condition... i shall see...

| Nice to meet you Ai Ney. Is the pug that you put for your display picture is Sookie? She is cute. 8 years old must be very big in size. I can't wait Sasa to become larger and healthier. But i'm now worrying about her skin problem... Anyway thanks for your advise. I'm really appreciate for your help. |

Nice pug.. both of you :)
But just one advice. Please do not go into feeding raw food, just because you think it will cure ALL skin problems. In some cases, it might help - though there are also other methods to help. The theory behind how raw food helps - is when you know that a dog is allergic to certain meat/foods. However, true allergy to food is not as common as you think.
My advice is still to get a proper diagnosis first. Then treatment will come easy when you actually know what you're treating for. I'm sure many vets here will tell you there are many dogs out there, with ignorant owners, who try out everything possible to cure the dog (except see a vet) and end up getting the poor dog's condition much worse than it is (which also means expensive treatment costs). |
