Hi everyone,
My dog was spayed and had her uterus removed due to pyometra last year. All the time since she was younger she has been having this growth in her mammary glands, growing slowly over the years.
Past week she has been vomiting a bit, about once a day, sometimes before food, once in the middle of the night. Vomit is colourless, once a but yellowy. She normally vomits after a heavy drink of water anyway (since young). But these 4-5 days she seems to have some incontinence or something (I'm not sure because her backside will be a bit wet, not sure due to accidentally sitting on the vomit or incontinence). The backside wetting occurs very near to time of vomit, and usually we don't notice.
Is the growth anything to worry about? I'm away from home due to studies and my mom says she now gets touchy about touching her growth area. But she has always been touchy about some things like touching her tail since puppyhood. My parents say she is old, we should help her live life to the fullest, not subject her to more operations, and let her be as long as she doesn't show pain and her appetite is good. Activity level is ok for her age, but she likes to sleep.
She is coming to 12 years this July, a small-size mongrel, about 13kg.
Does the vomiting, "incontinence" and mammary growth have any connection?
Thanks. Long story. |
