My 6mths old puppy (Boby) has been vomitting white foamy and tis usually happens when we gave him some big bones to bite (those sold in market around 8inch long that said to remove tartar and clean tooth). He looks like choking there and nothing much i can do to help except wait him expel until he's comfort. May I know is it cos he swallows food without proper chewing? Tis happens not the 1st time but many times especially after he took his meal or been biting the treats thingy.. IF after meal time sometimes he will get over active jumping up & down until he starts to vomit lo then he stops.
Another problem with him is i put him at my room balcony and it seems fine when he will pee at the place i've ask him to.. he's been peeing at the same spot until last week when i catch him peeing down to outside and down to the porch  when i will have hsemates come in and out from the hse.. wat can be done to prevent tis? he wil do dat if me or my boyfren is at the balcony wif him or else he wil pee at the initial place. wat's wrong wif him? :?
Finally, his habit of scratching is quite serious while the biting especially at the joints and paws.. one of his paws he bite till bleeding oledi.. i have been monitoring him whenever he sits wif me.. i went to the pet shop to search for some solution and the pet shop people told me that it could be either shampoo or food that triggers his itchiness... well d shampoo i bought it from the vet and its herbal ingredients shampoo...
so the pet shop people said that could be the food problem..i'm giving him pedigree brand food and i was told that pedigree contains alot ajinomoto and asked me to change to other brands like eukanuba.. well so far i just change the food for him cos i really cant bear with Boby scratching there continuously.. the new food is purina one brand.. i've mixed some of the old food wit his new food now and the stool is kinda dark colour and he's been pooing non stop :| can help advice wat has trigger the itchiness? |

the pedigree food are consider low grade food. u better change it, coz my friend also feed with the pedigree, and the dog have skin problem.
try to get those with " Super premium dog food " grade. or better a Holistic food. |

Jumping around a lot after a heavy meal is very dangerous for your dog. It can cause what is known as Gastric Dilatation Volvulus. http://www.upei.ca/~cidd/Diseases/GI%20disorders/gastric%20dilatation-volvulus.htm
So, if you see him vomiting continuously, non-stop after food. Better take him to the vet. This will be an emergency, and only surgery can save him... if in time. One way to prevent it, is to give him small meals more frequently throughout the day. And of course, stop him from being too exicted after meals.
However, vomiting after food can also be something else altogether. So, if you suspect anything, better to bring him to a vet for a check up.
As for your dog peeing at places he's not used to. Well, have you had your dog castrated? If not, he could be simply marking his territory. And male dogs prefer to pee on verticle items.
And lastly, if your dog is itchy, why not just consult a vet instead of the pet shop? I've seen/heard too many damaging stories of "home remedy" and other types of diagnosis provided by pet shops. But in the end, its the dog that suffers the most. Second, would be the owner, cos he'll end up spending more than he would to fix all the complicated problems that arrises.
Oh yeah, as far as I know, there are no ajinomoto in Pedigree. Yes, its a low grade food, but doesn't mean it will definitely cause any skin problems. |
