Hi guys,
I need some help here.
My dog (a GR) has red spot all over her belly and she was scratching madly after I sent her for grooming. Suspecting it could be the shampoo that the pet shop used, I bathed her again using a medicated shampoo recommended by my vet. Then scratching subside now but she is still scratching occassionally although not as frequent. She also has the tendency to lick her paw causing part/hair in between her toes to turn black and sore. Any idea what's wrong with her?
She has also been having diarrhea for the past 24 hours. Thinking it could be because of the canned food, I only fed her bread last night and this morning, she is still having the stomach problem.
I am bringing her to a vet later this afternoon but I wonder what could trigger this problem. I did not change her diet. She is on Lamb and Rice formula + canned food. |

| Yes, shampoo can be something the dog can be allergic to. But if you're talking about allergy, it could be pretty much ANYTHING. To be sure, you can request for some of the same shampoo from your groomers, and test on only a small part of your dog. See if the skin there turns red and itchy. |

The vet told me the skin problem is cause by mange.
She gave my dog a jab (to kill the mange) and the 6 weeks of medicine (once a week) and also 2 types of antibiotic. One for the diarrhea and one for the skin (after finish the antibiotic for diarrhea).
Do you think it is okay? |
