May I ask is there anyway other than taking strong antibiotics to remove the pus in the lungs of a dog that's infected with pneumonia? Anyway to sort of like pump it out? According to the x-ray there's a lot of pus in the lungs and my dog's breathing very heavily most of the time.

sure got ways to do it, only nobody is properly trained and have experience actually doing it!
moreover these procedures costs a bomb and without pet insurance here, it puts average wage pet owners in a bind when the whole cost of treatment may run into the thousands of ringgit. |

Well, lungs is also like a sponge. So pumping all the pus outta a sponge is not as straight forward as it seems!

Yes i understand it is not an easy process. Is there any other way to remove it other than taking long term antibiotics? Or any way to help him at all?

At this point in time, there is nothing much one can do about pus in[b] the lung. The best option or in your case the only option is antibiotics, rest and what ever supportive care deemed necessary for your dog. Use of nembulizers and fluid therapy may help. One can also ask the vet to teach you how to "clap" the chest to promote coughing-i think it is called chophage? Allowing very light activities depending on how bad your dogs condition is and good ol' fresh air would go a long way too.
