hello new pals! i'm phoebe cheong from sandakan. i'm turning eighteen this year and i'm still studying in yu yuan secondary school, senior three a.

i've always wanted to be a vet since i was young, but i didn't really know how to enrol into a vet school until recently. i need all the help i can get to do this. i had not a clue what dkhp really is until i learnt that it is one of the courses equivalent with stpm and that it offers a big chance for people who want to study vet.

i'm also interested in making friends and learning all about how other vet students succeessfully got into vet school. i've learnt from my mentor sarah chong that to be a vet, one must be active in volunteering jobs and such in animal rehab centres and vet clinics. that is what i'm going to do during the school holidays, but i'm not sure whether the period is long enough for the vet faculty to consider letting me in, though.

anyway, i hope that someone here will supply details for me to help me achieve my goal. thanx for reading!

Hey there welcome to the forum! Hope it all turns out for you. By the way Sarah is a differnt breed of human all together she went tru hell to get what she wanted while most of us would have opted out.

hi again! u know, i've adopted loads of different pets like birds, a rabbit, dogs, caterpillars, terrapins, fishes, stray cats and even tadpoles! well... most of them escaped or passed away, some were given away, others were "dilepaskan" into their environment (like the frogs and butterflies!). well, i have no pets now coz my house is too small for pets and my mom discourages me to have them although she has no objections against my intentions of being a vet in the future. anyway, thanx to my dad for allowing me to learn how to handle the animals since i as young, and also nurturing my interest to be an animal lover! :wink:

oh yeah, i've raised chicks into chickens too (out of love, i didn't mean to rear it and eat it!) but anyhow my mom slaughtered them one day and and my siblings and i didn't know it was chicky until the next day! boo hoo hoo.... sometimes like u sayang an animal so much and u ate it out of knowing it, u'r juz like~ i dun wan to eat chicken no more. tat's wat i felt for the next few days.
