I found this program to be excellent especially for use in a didactic environment.
Surgeries of the Abomasum in Cattle, CD-ROM, Desrochers, Harvey, Univ. of Montreal, 2006
Multimedia Programs for Continuing Education
This CD-ROM includes a program designed to take advantage of today’s new technologies.
The authors and professors, Dr André Desrochers, DMV, diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and Dr Denis Harvey, DMV and PhD in Educative Technologies, have produced an interactive learning environment to help practitioners understand the mechanism of the abomasal displacement, dilatation and volvulus.
You will find, in this CD-ROM, 3D representations of the normal anatomy, pathophysiology of abomasal problems and interactive informations on surgical treatment (suture, material, preoperative preparation, surgical techniques and medical support).
This CD is designed to run on the following minimum hardware specification:
· Pentium or PPC 200 Mhz or higher
· 64MB RAM minimum
· Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP
· 800 x 600 pixels screen resolution,
· 16-bit color (thousands)
· CD-ROM 24X or higher
· Sound card with speakers
· · A Macintosh version is not available
