My cat is no 2 years old and it's a male cat. We've just recently spayed him (3 months ago) and of course he's a healthy cat. The thing I'm thinking of getting another cat or kitten as a companion for him but I'm afraid that he wouldn't like it and run away (as my previous cats - 2 of them ran away after I took in another kitten). He's very loving and attached to me. So, my question is : Would be ok to get another cat/kitten ? Would he try to hurt the other cat? Would he run away?
Thanks. |

Its a very difficult question to answer. Some cats are ok with other cats, whilst some cannot tolerate other cats.
If you were to bring in another cat/kitten, make sure you read up on how to introduce them first. Doing it right when you bring in another cat to your house, will reduce the chance for them to fight or for him to run away. They may not get along all that well, but at least they can be taught to tolerate each other. |
