|
|
This is a good news for those(school-leaver) who wish to take Vet course in UPM...
Let me introduce myself, I'm a student of foundation studies for Agricultural Science in UPM ( July 07 intake )...
It's also known as "Asasi Sains Pertanian(ASPER)"
Many people still don't know the existence of the Asper(including students from UPM)...Actually,Asper has been established on 2005..only 25 students were registered for the first batch..Now..I'm the third batch which consists about 112 students.....
You know, ASper is one of the branch to get into Veterinary Medicine!!
Veterinary Medicine is one of the Agro-Bio program that has been offered by UPM to the ASPERians.....A good result with at least CGPA 3.75 is needed!! Only the best student is selected to further their degree in Veterinary Science...It's quite tough competition actually....
The curriculum is just like any other Government Matriculation..We need to take Biology,Chemistry,Physics,Maths,English...and Agriculture subjects!
In the afternoon, We go farming...We cultivate many kind of vegetables by ourselves..
It's totally a great experience for me..Recently, we were harvesting our crops(maize) and brought them home....My Mum&Dad were happy!! :))
That's it!!
Don't ever think that the ways to get into Vet are only through A-level,STPM,Government Matriculation..or whatsoever....
For parents out there...open your eyes...ASPER is the other GOOD alternative to attain your son/daughter's wish to be a Veterinarian......
For more information about ASPER...feel free to log on:

All your curiosity will be answered easily there..... |

| Soundl like fun, wish i had that road to take when i was a student. I dont think Gov matriculation prepaired its students. THis is a positive step indeed. |
