You have to put the image tags around your image url:
E.g.
Code:
[img]http://www.yourimage.com/mypic.jpg[/img]
Please make sure you read the rules before you post images. Read:

"Image placed in the signature cannot be bigger than 150x400 pixels ( height x width ) "
