|
|
I just started using Frontline Spot On for Cats for my domestic short hair last Saturday (two days after bath), however, 5 minutes after applying, she rolled onto her back and slept, and when i finally notice, most of the medication applied onto the back of her neck got absorb onto my chair instead!!
Will the medication still work? Do i need to reapply?
I applied it following the instructions provided, onto the skin directly.
Today (Sunday), i noticed that there are still some really really "tiny little light brown fleas" on her (i thought it was the eggs, but focusing on it i noticed it moved), and i'm kinda worried by this because my sister-in-law is pregnant, and i have a 18month-old toddler (who loves the cat) staying together in the same house. I'm just afraid the fleas would affect them.
I'm planning on getting Frontline spray just as an extra precaution for the current situation. Is it recommended? But i really don't like the spray because its kinda too much hassle, and i'm afraid my cat might lick it and gets poisoned. (Also because i like her current soft and nice smelling fur)
Or should i just bath her again, and reapply another pipette on her? Will it cause overdosing of medication?
Please do advice me of what i should do, because i really wanted my girl to be flea-free due to the above reasons. And also because other family members can be quite "sensitive" when it comes to the word "fleas", and i don't want them to "outcast" my girl aside.
Sorry for all my questions, i can get a little paranoid when it comes to my baby! Thank you (^^ )! |

i should guess it should still work, but maybe less than the time claimed (ie 1 month). so perhaps you can re-apply in maybe 2 weeks' time.
nevertheless, frontline is extremely safe, and if you apply the whole 3 pippette, it will still be safe! |

Thank you Dr Han! I really appreciate your help! At least now i can feel at ease knowing my girl is sorta "safer" from fleas! THANKS (^^ )!
BTW, i know that fleas are harmful towards the animals. Are those brown little specks which moves on the cat's fur something we should worry about? I heard that those are flea eggs, and my vet has told me if the cat is really infected by fleas, the skin around her eye would be pale instead of pinkish like it is now. What can we do to rid of the brown specks? |

well as long as you apply frontline continously, you have no fear of flea, lice or any external parasites. frontline dont work well with eggs, as the eggs are protected by an outer shell.
so the trick is to apply frontline continously and when these eggs hatch, they will be immediately exposed to frontline, and die. |
