I realize my FiFi (bunny) has lotsa problem. :(
yesterday i brought her to vet and the doc gave her an injection. She told me nothing can be done, only injection....i saw abit of wound on her paw. The doc told me she has to go for jab for 4 weeks
And her teeth is quite long. Anyone has any idea how much is it cost to trim bunny's teeth. The doc told me that she has to put FiFi on anaesthetic? Is it dangerous? I'm afraid she might not take it?>.<
I hope someone can gimmie an advice on these.
Thank you |

hi, in the first place, why did the vet give yr FiFi an injection, is it because of the wound at her paw? :? my bunnies do have this problem when i brought them home the first month. they do have wound at their paw which normally called as abscess. abscess is a bump on the skin of a rabbit that's filled with pus. An abscess is a symptom of infection, which can develop in a cut or a scratch :( . or this is sometime refer as sore hocks where it is a condition in which a patch of fur on the legs or feet of a rabbit wears away, exposing skin and in some cases bone. Often, the rabbit can develop sores or abscesses on the exposed skin as a result. :( It's thought that sore hocks can be caused when a rabbit is kept in a wire cage but doesn't have a flat surface to rest upon. :?
for my cases, i bring my bunnies to the vet and they advise me to press out as much pus as possible daily until it recover. the vet also gave me a small bottle of iodin to apply on the wounded part after pressing out the pus. 2 weeks antibiotic was given and it was taken orally. my vet do not agree on injection on bunny as they stress up very easily unless it is the last resouce. is your FiFi wound form up pus ? if it is so, i think it can be easily treated and i feel that injection and anaesthetic are a bit stress up for yr. poor FiFi. i still can remember i need to press out the pus from my bunnies and apply iodin which took them approximately 2 week to recover. that is the only experience i have and until now, they do not have this problem, thank God.
also, in order to prevent yr FiFi from getting any hurt, do let her roam in the area which is bunny proof and it has to be under supervision whenever she is out of the cage  . bunny might sometime hurt themselves unnecessary by hitting on something shape and get wounded which resulted in forming the cheesy pus. 8) |

| hi, in term of trimming yr FiFi's teeth, i am not sure what is the price. i think u can start to let yr FiFi munching on timorthy hay after trimming her teeth as their teeth can be overgrown and only by constant chewing will wear the teeth down as they grow throughout a rabbits life  |
