|
|
Hi, just asking out of curiosity.
Has anyone tried other supplements or food additions other than the well known Nutricoat or some other brands of skin supplements that I've forgotten?
For e.g. cod liver oil, coconut oil, olive oil, pork fat... You get the drift.
And what is the outcome of feeding these supplements?
Don't get any wrong ideas. I'm not promoting the use of these supplements, just wanna get a rough idea what Malaysian pet owners feed their dogs with to improve the quality of their skin, shinier furs or smoother coats.
Thanks! |

| I've seen dogs that live on table scraps or maybe even economical commercial pet food, and later changed to a good quality commercial food. There's a marked difference in their coat quality and body built after a couple of weeks. However, I've not seen any marked difference when one gives additional supplements. Maybe I've just not seen enough, but my conclusion is that good overall nutrition for your pet will improve on its fur quality. So if you want your dog's coat looking healthy, think about upgrading your food quality first, don't just rely on supplements. |
