| I really need help. My rabbit was having soft tools for the past few days then I brought her to visit vet in Tmn Segar. Dr Lum prescribe antibiotic for FiFi and now she no longer having soft stool. But my major concern is my FiFi's mouth, nose, leg and backside are stick with the stool and become harden now. It's very hard for me to remove. FiFi wouldn't want me to wipe her mouth also.Just now I realize her nose is abit wet but I'm not sure is she having flu. Can the antibiotic use to treat her flu or do I need to get flu medicine for her? Does she needs to finish the antibiotic that prescribe by the vet? I forgot to ask. >.<!!! :( |

hi, glad to know that yr FiFi is no more diarrea :D , is her poo-poo dry, big and round? according to the vet i visit, these should be the type of poo-poo for a healthy bunny  . i face the same problem like u whenever you want to get hold them to do the body checking, cleaning etc. they have a very powerful leg. however, be awared while handling them as they are very fragile and their bone especially the neck can be easily break :? . two personals needed if u want to clean yr FiFi. one hold them and the other do the cleaning. if they struggle means that they really do not like the way u hold them, try to rub their stomach (the front part) and their head, they love it very much when u do that to them. my bunny will close their eyes and enjoy my rubbing at their forehead, sometime they will fall asleep  n this is the best time for you to do the cleaning. if they really do not let u touch them, leave them alone and i think u can bring them to the vet and do the cleaning. my vet do teach me how to handle a bunny in a right way cos bunny can stress up quite easily.
i am not sure whether FiFi is having a flu, my bunnies nose do wet and i found out that sometime when they are drinking, they probably wet their nose accidentally at the same time. u can check out the website i pose up at the rabbit problem tread pertaining to the sickness that a bunny will commonly get. according to my vet, antibiotik can not take more than 14 days eventhough there is still some antibiotik left. :D |
