| What kind of semen you want to store? Dog semen? Bull semen? Pig semen? AI on what animal? |

| Personally I don't think there is any. How much you are willing to pay for the semen deposition? It is hard to provide such service if the volume and price is too low for the company to offer such commercial service. |

If there is a private storage faciltities, there are ppl who actually import semen from proven champion stud dogs from the US and UK (or anywhere else) and have the AI done locally, thus producing good quality litters.
i think its an area worth investigating, as with critical mating periods, timing is of outmost importance esp in AI for dogs. with demand, we can use opportunity to learn transabdominal ultrasonography insemination coupled with regular hormonal quantification to get the correct time for critical insemination.
but i do wonder what is MKA stand on this AI thing. its quite touchy for the equine industry in terms of AI, but i have not heard anything from the MKA regarding their stand on AI in dogs in Malaysia. anybody out there got any ideas or news? |
