hi everybody...
On July 26th i brought my cat, PIKA ke Hospital Veterinar UPM....after examination n x-ray.....confirm my cat dpt diaphragmmatic hernia.2nd of august nie appointment utk surgery. But, because of less knowledge n maybe bz lately....i dah biarkan my cat suffer for a year.Doctor tak boleh nak gurantee either PIKA boleh survive or not.Firstly, coz sakit nie dah a year n 2nd reason is because my cat tak pernah vaccin dr kecil lagi.Do, ckp she's afraid if any organ yg dah tak duk kat tempat dia tu ....dah attached kat tmpt dia now. What i'm afraid of is doctor tak boleh langsung nak bagi any percentage utk dia survive....50-50 pun dia tak berani. What i'm regreat is i refer dengan benyak klinik.gov/private tapi masing2 bagi persepsi mcm2.And luckily, ader sekali i bawak pegi jumpa vet, VA tu ckp my cat tersangkut tulang.thats why dia tak nak mkn.Dia bius my cat n 2 days baru dia sedar.Doc kat Vet UPM tu ckp....luckily PIKA tak mati on the spot....Imagine...
cry:  another one thing....plz advice or give any suggestion kat maner lagi tempat yg baik utk bring my cat.bukan i tak percaya dengan doc kat UPM...diaorg mmg best..it's just maybe it is better if i boleh dptkan 2nd opinion.surgery yg akan PIKA jalani costnyer RM900.I harap sgt ianya berjaya even it's quite expensive.PLZZZZ...Thanks Dr Nor coz benarkan saya berada di hospital nnati semasa surgery tu.Terima kasih bebanyk.u r the best.thanks...N PLZ DO UR BEST DOC!!
Any way, to all doctors here...Thanks for ur information.....even though it's quite late but at least i still can do something for my cat...Anything...plz advice me....And lastly...Thank u so much.FOR EVERYONE HERE...PLZ PRAY FOR PIKA...  |

at least, u could fix things up in time, which isnt the case for me.my cat Bulu died while she is still in my arms after she accidently plunge out of the aprt and went missing for 6 days.
i hope your Pika is recovering and will jump back into its health soon.good Luck |

hi..i akan story what had happen on that day ....on 2nd august i pegi UPM dr klang utk attend PIKA punyer surgery. At 8.30 one of sergeon call utk reconfirm status PIKA.The consequences n posibilities yg akan berlaku during the surgery.Dr Ani explain n that's maked me worried so much. After i arrived...i dpt jumper dgn sergeon PIKA.Ats profesionalisme sergeon tu inform yg 90% posibilities PIKA akan mati masa sergeon. So, at that time i rasa mcm sorg ibu yg kehilangan anak..menangis2..rasa mcm x boleh nak terima hakikat tu.  Tp itulah yg i kena gamble...PIKA life.Dr ckp if i tak buat surgery at least i ader 2/3 years dengn PIKA.If i nak buat jugak......as i said...90% i'll lost PIKA n 10% is a miracle. So, I decide utk cancell the operation.Took PIKA back home n now ... i spent my time dgn dia jer biler i ader di rumah.i bg dia mkn mknn fav dia even though i tak suker...raw fish.cumer i kena buangkan tulang..takut tercekik!!.coz if i rebus dia tak suker.whiskas/science plan...etc to kire 2nd choice.everything is for him..
p/s:-Thanks Dr Ani for ur profesionalisme in explained everything n i want to apologize to all staff yg terlibat dlm preparation PIKA pg tu for gived u all such trouble.N thousand of thanks to DR Nor for consult PIKA cased.THank u so much...i love u all... :)

| Sorry to hear that. Right now the best thing for you to do is just to keep him comfortable and happy. And if anything happens, better faster bring him for treatment before things get worse and he suffers even more. |

| For preventing flu.. or other diseases, vaccination is the first recommendation. Second, if you see him with breathing difficulty (more than usual) or having any sort of fluid coming out from his nose, then bring him in for treatment asap. Other than that, any sort of multivitamins (including B complex) might help a little. The best is just to keep his meals well balanced. |

You should be aware that after a year of hernia, there must have extensive adhesion to the internal organ, either in chest or abdomen. The herniorrhaphy itself is a risky surgery, to repair it after a year, make everything else worse. The muscles that form the diaphragm must have undergone severe atrophy and I don't think the surgery can be successful without a surgical mesh. The mesh is extremely expensive.
So, I think what you can do is keep your cat quiet and calm and pray really hard. RM900 for this procedure is extremely cheap. I doubt anyone can give a better service with that kind of charges. |

Has Pika ever had vaccinations? If not, then you should bring him in to a vet for further evaluation if he could take it. If he has been vaccinated before, then you should bring him to a vet for evaluation when it is due again. That is the best advice I can give at the moment. Vaccinations can cause stress on the body, so he needs to be evaluated by a vet before giving it. If he cant be vaccinated, then the vet will explain to you the steps to take to prevent him from contaging any diseases.
I think all vet clincs and some pet shops would sell some form of multivitamin supplement for cats. |
