| Hi, nak mintak advice ckti dari doc or member2 semer.My mom (kat kg) ader bela banyak kucing..Now dekat 25 ekor.kebanyakannyer orang buang kat rumah n amik kat tepi jln...especially kitten yg org taknak.Sebab my mom pun suker n cintakan kucing(i perwarisnyer :lol: )...So, now we all ader problem semua kucing mengalami masalah kurap.agak teruk jugak.Selain dr injection, ader lagi tak cara lain utk i cured diaorg nie.nak kata tak mandi, rajin jugak i mandikan biler balik kg(sekali sebulan).Nak bawak pegi vet klinik...ramai sgtlah!!! :P :P |

So far la yang i tau kurap dan sakit gatal-gatal kucing ni memang takde ubatnya selainkan kenda samaada bawak vet untuk jap dia. tapi for my cats yang selalu merayau jadi hero taman perumahan ni, bila I tengok ada symphtomnya, I cepat mandikan dia dengan Malaseb. Shampoo biasa memang tak mau baik. Mana yang dah teruk kena asingkan pada yang lain sebab berjangkit. |

If you're talking about mites or fleas, then you can apply things like Frontline. But its not as effective as the oral/injectable medication. Check with your vet if they have it (or something similar). You don't have to bring all your cats there, just a few (especially the bad ones) for confirmation of what they have.
Malaseb shampoo is not used for mites/fleas. It is used more for fungal or bacterial skin infections. Becareful when you're using medicated shampoos - you need to be sure of what your cat has. |

| Err ...Doc, isnt it kurap=fungus? (or was I confused?) BTw, I read that we can create shampoo made from lime sulfur to cure fungus infection in cats but I havent heard of it discussed among my catlover friends. Isnt using something as lethal as lime sulfur (which is usually used in gardening to kill pest) will be lethal to cats too? :? |

A lot of people say kurap to mean all sorts of skin problem. That is why it is very difficult to say what treatment to follow, when even the diagnosis is not known.
Using sulphur to cure fungal disease is never recommended. How many cats do you know that will not lick anything of their fur? |

| So, if i bring yg first cat kena jangkitan nie boleh yer doc??coz nak bawak 25 ekor ker vet tu i 'm sure mesti jadi pesta punyer...ghehehe...by the way thanks everybody.. |

| I also letak minyak gamat to some minor luka for my cats. But I make sure its the pure minyak gamat without adulteration with other ointment. |

| You can put ointments on minor wounds for your cats. But if you see them spreading, or worse still, spreading to other cats, then you'd better hurry on to the vet. |

Hi everybody,
last monday i ader kat kg.n i called vet clinic kat saner tapi staff takder to attend my cats.They ask to call on tuesday.So, at 9.15am, i called n i still received the same answer.Staff takder kat office.Everyone kluar utk vaksin lembu..Hrmmmm...i wonder if emergency case....n nobody at the clinic...i can't imagine what will be happen.Langsung tak nak amik berat ttg pet.i rasa dissapointed dgn Jabatan Veterinar....Lastly, i called one doctor..i kenal dia personally.dulu dia nie doc vet kat gov clinik-jabatan veterinar.Now, dia dah retired n dia bg service kat rumah patient.Dia dtg n tgk all my cats teruk.Semer dapat injection.n i kena charged 180/=.Kire 10/= per cat...okies lah kot.tgk in a week...hope diaorg boleh recover |
