Dear Dr,
I keep bird - red whisket Bulbul, my bird molting through the year. Some bird only molt once a year.
This bird start molt on Feb 06, and finish on June 06. I bring him to the competition for 3 months. After that he start to molt agan on oct 06. and finish on Feb 07. after completion, July 07 molt again....... why? Is he lack of any nutrition?or?

How old is your bulbul?
I think molting requires the individual to be in good state of health and nutrition before it can be initiated and completed without problems.
I am not sure how often a bulbul can molt in a year, but there seemed to be a regular molting of your bulbul in a constant interval. |
