| well i guess with moderate amounts will aid digestion, but with large amounts of fibre and lack of water, you may instead cause constipation and frequent trips to the vets' office! |

i guess she meant like quaker oat oat meal, which is prepared with water,
instead of dried roll oats,
even for roll oats u need to cook it first and make it like thick porridge for the dog.
some brand of dog food has oat in its ingredient.... |

Yes i meant quaker oat meal...
I nid some advice here, my puppy frequently vomit on her 1st meal. Brought her to the vet, given medi and vet suggest to gv her something easily to be digest (thats how i came out with oatmeal) she get better after consumin the medi. After awhile the vommitin came back again. She's very active, appetiate ok. Only tat she will vomit on her 1st meal. Normally she wil hv her 1st meal at 12noon & last meal around 11pm. |

well theres many cause of vomitting, from worms, gastric, sudden consumption of large amount of food (we have seen puppy who over indulge themselves, causing vomition) and many more reasons.
what did your vet say after examination? |

She said might be some sort of diease (I cant remember the name) so she did a test but came out negative. So she just gv some antibotics & gastric pills claim that it might be bacteria infection from eatin rabbit poo. Checked no worms.
I feed my puppy with a very small amount of food per meal, but I scare she might start loosing weight? |

yeah i would done what she did. maybe if we put her on longer anti vomit pills maybe it may help. maybe even a change in dog food formulation may help.
asi have never examined your pet, perhaps you should consult your vet and chat with her as to what options you have to get to the bottom of this problem? |

maybe its just regurgitation.
how old is ur pup?
normally pup eats more than 2 times a day,
more so if its kinda large breed? not sure,
but my dog last time eat more than 3 times a day,
i think 12 hour interval it too long for the pup,
its too hungry, and tend to eat too fast etc,
try feeding it 4 times. |

| Some dogs become very hungry while waiting for their first meal, so during their first meal, they will quickly gulp down everything. You could try feeding small amount of food several times a day. That way, she doesn't feel hungry for her first meal and will eat more slowly. You don't have to worry about your pup losing weight, cos you should split the total amount she eats per day into the number of meals you are giving her. Keep an eye on her body weight and body condition and increase/decrease according to need. |

I’m agree with nekochan & Dr Nat
Dogs vomit fairly easily. My dog vomits usually due to overeating & consume a lot of water at the same time.
As long as your dog doesn’t seem dull and depressed, there’s no cause for concern. Try to begin with a light meal & as for oatmeal, I suggest you to feed her occasionally instead on daily basis. |

| Another thing, it is not a good idea to feed her on a full stomach, and then allow her to be active and run/jump around a lot. Thats another reason to give small meals several times a day |
