|
|
Stormy, my 4yr old budgie has had some health problems since I got her. She was a rescue and I have been trying to convert her to a healthier diet since I got her a year ago. I have six other budgie in one big flight cage so it gets pretty hard to monitor who eats what although I spend alot of time with them.. I am getting REALLY concerned with her condition now. Since I got her she was a "bigger" budgie than usual but now it has become a lump on the upper part of her chest. I have looked into it possibly being a fatty tumor, a goiter or a lipoma. Although I have a general idea of what they mean, I am not certain how to tell the difference. I attempted to look at the tissue- there is not much of a color difference (no yellow) and it is soft to the touch. She allows me to inspect her and it does not seem to pain her at all..She plays alot and loves her toys so I am not certain what to do. I was thinking of separating her so I can monitor what she eats and make sure she gets the things she needs... ANY ADVICE will be GREATLY appreciated...I love my babies! Here is a pic of what she looks like- the second pic she was a bit wet..THANK YOU!!!!!!

Hello welcome here..
You can learn how to resize your photos at

to avoid breaking the layout of the forum and the appearance of "horizontal scrollbar".
Thank you.
(I have already resized the photos for you, just this time :-) ) |

| Hehe... we couldn't see the lump on your photo and your description is too brief for me to imagine where the lump is, how big it is, how its consistency and colour like, etc. etc.... |
