dr.
one of my pet finches are nesting in a small food pot with barely enough room for her to sit in :? , so far I have counted at least 3 eggs in there and i was woundering if I should take some away because there is no way you can fit 3 adult sized birds in there and the mother... its just not possible what should I do? :cry: ?? she has been nesting for around 2 to 3 weeks, am I too late?? :?: please help.

| Firstly, I have to say I have NO experience in breeding birds. But I'd suggest that if the mother is happily nesting there, then leave her alone. Animals do not like being moved/treatened during nexting and may even abandon everything. But then again, I really don't know much about birds... (sorry, this may be of no help :)) |

| But are you sure those eggs are fertilized? Depending on species, breeding birds in enclosure can be very difficult. |
