Hello All,

I am a new member in this forum. I do have a bird - red whisket bulbul which about 15 years old. His left eye became white - cataract, is there any medicine to cure it ? He still can sing very well at home. Please help.

Thank you.

First, think you should really differentiate whether the whitish thing is really at the lens (meaning cataract) or over the cornea. This means a totally different thing. However, if this is something localised or it is not really life-threatening, most pet birds tolerate well in loss of one side vision. Diagnosis and treatment should be made by a veterinarian. Should send to a vet for further check-up if you are really interested to know.
