i just felt like voicing out...

today while i was on my way home from college, i saw a very horrifying thing. i saw a little kitten under this huge suv and in a blink of an eye, before i could do anything, the kitten was on the side of the road, DYING! it's frail body was shaking like as if it had a seizure and the guy who ran over the poor kitty didint even realize a thing! and i couldn't do anything to help the poor fellow cuz the traffic was so bad over there....i couldn't do anything but watch him die and i feel so bad....

im so affected by this incident...i cant stop thinking about it and i can't stop crying too...i feel awfully terrible and right now i wish i could really just change the world...no more stray kittens and puppies on the road anymore!!]

i just wanna know if anyone has gone through some experience like this before? could someone share it with me? i really feel awful and i just hope things could different and innocent animals wouldn't have to die because we humans who are supposed to be the 'smartest' creatures are so careless and ignorant when it comes to animals....

Check out the SPCA Selangor. They have a mission called 'Stray-free Malaysia 2010'. Call them up and see how you can help.

I've once saw a Toyota Unser passing in front of Engineering Fac. As it pass, the window was down, and I saw a cat being chuck-out of it. I was on my bike at that time, riding behing the van. the van was going around 60-65kmh I think, as I was following behind it. Luckily the cat manage to land safely and ran towards the road side.

Although the cat was safe, and appear to be unharm, I think its cruel. the cat may have super reflex allowing it to land safely, but what if another vehicle was passing by? what if the other vehicle was me, if I was riding beside the van instead of following behind it?

Anyway, I hope those people realize what damage they could've done to the poor animal, and to me, if I were to ram over the cat.

p.s: wish I have reflex like a cat, maybe I can evade fatal accident while on my bike. LOL

at least u guys saw other cats that's not your own pets.

My first best friend, a big black-grey-white cat was hit by my father's car when he reverse the car out of the parking space at home. It was a terrible shock as the cat's body didn't stop twitching in his own pool of blood. I even couldn't bring myself to see him at the last moment when my father buried him. I don't think any cat can replace his place in my heart.

Since then, at our home, it's compulsary to look under the cars and car's tyre before we go out as our cats love laying under the cars or on the tyres (usually kittens do this as they are small enough to fit that thight place). Even when we reverse to park our cars, we have to make sure the cats are somewhere safe or someone taking care of them while car-reverse or for me, I just give them some kitty biscuits to keep them busy.

We had to do something similar for dogs. Must make sure the dogs are in the house when we are reversing the car, and make sure that they didn't run out when we close the gate. Last time, long long time ago, I remember we lost a dog because the dog rushed out when we open the gate, and then we closed the gate without realising the dog wasn't in the house. We only found out the next morning, when we saw the dog laying on the road infront of our house, dead, after being knocked by a car. :(

that's really sad!! I dunno what should do about my cats as they are outdoors cats. usually when the kittens started to walk by themselves and go to the parking space, our worry became high. as the kittens are small, sometimes they even sleep in the engine area. If on the tyres, at least we can get them out. but in the engine, it's so frustrating coz we can't reach them!

Going out of topic here, but almost a similar story with more impact on my family. When I was 15, I was helping my dad to open the gate for him to reverse out his car and it was raining heavily at that moment. Didn't realize one of my dog escaped from the house until during dinner, we couldn't find him since food is his must-come-home factor.

The next day, we found him on our way to school at the road side, dead with a penetrating wound from his right shoulder blade through his chest like someone speared him. Dammit man, I still regretted until now for not looking out for him before opening the gate. My mom whom never shed a tear since my grandpa died weeped torrents when burying him. Considering my neighbourhood are Malay-majority (no racist offense here, but this is the truth), it's no surprise it could have been one of the ruffraff boys who killed him since days before they threw stones at my house and destroyed my dad's car windshield.

Damn the mentality here.
