I believe there are people who find leopard cat kittens orphaned and raised them as pets. It is illegal by the way but apparently they do okay. I've heard that they are more aggressive than your average house cats.
It seems they are seasonal breeders as orphaned leopard cat kittens tend to be turned in to zoos in batches.
Why do you ask? |

| i read a book bout cats.the bengal cats doesn't exist until recently they mix the female leopard cat with the best of domestic male cat, which makes F1.then they generate F2,F3,F4 and only F4 is fully domesticated and don't have the wilderness.if that is the case, someone will have to tame a leopard cat before it can breed with the domestic cat or else it will become meal to the leopard cat.Leopard cat have all the wildness and instinc like the tigers and lions, and instinc cannot be ammended or change.whatmore,it's just a smaller version of a leopard.so how could taming of leopard cat happen? |

| just raise it from a kitten and it will be somewhat tame. Just like you can raise a lion or tiger cub and play with it when it grows up but it is still not 100% tame. The leopard cat is not that big.... about the size of a large cat so it is not all that scary..... Well, that said, it is not an animal for the inexperienced wildlife handler and I DO NOT recommend trying to tame one. |
