im interest in studying vet but im i'm wondering what is a future of a malaysia vet..!Did we get job right after we complete our study?And wat is the basic salary of a vet?and is there any scolarship offered to study vet in overseas ?? :?:

Hmm.. that post again. :P

Anyway, lets answer mady's questions... again...

1. What is the future for Malaysian vets?
Nobody can predict the future, Mady. But, unless all Malaysians stop consuming meat, vets will always be in need. And now that the pet industry is growing, there is also a need for small animal vets. 10-20 years from now, I wont know what thats like.. we'll just have to wait and see.

2. Did we get a job right after studies?
Most of us, yes. Those that didn't get jobs are those that chose not to. All you need to do is to register with the Malaysian Veterinary Council, and then you're ready for practice.

3. Basic salary of a vet?
Very little. If you want a high paying job, don't become a vet. Only persue vet as a career if you are passionate about it, not for the money.

4. Scholarship to study vet overseas?
None that I know of. Why send students overseas when you can send more to do it locally? However, you might be able to get some form of scholarship from the university overseas, if they think you're good enough for it. But I doubt if you could find a full scholarship. Now, for Masters or PhD.. you might.
