hey people...
i have been interested in becoming a vet since i was a kid. and i know that i need STPM to get into vet school in malaysia. but due to some reasons, im doing A-Levels currently. and i was thinking all this while that i have to go overseas to get into vet school till i came across this forum. is it REALLY true that i can get into UPM with A-levels? i met a particular ex-dean of UPM and he didnt mention anything about getting in with A-levels....
and another thing is, do vets have a board or council? like doctors have the Malaysian Medical Council...do vets have that? if im going overseas to study then how would i know if a particular uni's degree is recognized in malaysia? can i get this information from somewhere?

Yes, A levels can get into UPM's vet course. I'm living proof of that.
And yes, there is a Malaysian Veterinary Council. There is a list of recognised degrees listed in the Veterinary Surgeon's Act. You can call up the Veterinary Services Department for any clarification regarding all this. |
