Hi everyone,
Just curious, is there any product known as MEDICATED pet food for dogs and cats available in Malaysia? That is specialty pet food for diseases, eg. doxycycline premixed into pet food for ehrlichiosis, etc.
Thanks. |

Ahhhh....my young padawan,
For antibiotics to be used effectively, the CORRECT dose have to be administered. As a vet student do you think such a food is a good idea to have since the amount of doxy can't be regulated? A dog that likes to eat will eat more and those that eats less will consume less. How about antibiotic resistance? Do you think it will be a problem? Doxy is not JUST for ehrlichiosis only. In an ideal world do u think anyone aside from qualified medical or vet professionals should be allowed to handle antibiotics? |
