|
|
Hello. My Name is Erica. I just graduated high school in jan 2006 and I am currently searching for a school that offers a Veterinary Science Technology - (A.A.S.) program online. Their are no schools in my area that offer this so on-campus as well as relocating is something i cannot do. I work in a vet office as a receptionist and i want to grow and become a vet tech. I have done alot of reaserch and have come up with fraud schools that arnt accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
The Vet techs i work with have fortunatly been near the schools they chose. Most went to Suny Delhi which is the only College 2 hours from me to offer a program. However, this is still to far to drive everyday and they do not offer a vet tech program online.
So im looking for a school that offers everything i would need to become a liscenced Vet Tech online. Also, that would accept Financial Aid and not require on campus attandance.
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!!!!
thanks alot!!!! :D |

Hi,
I don't know if you realize but it is a Malaysian vet forum and most of the contributers are more familiar with the situation in Malaysia. Anyway, I have asked some of the LVTs and there are no vet tech schools in NY that offers the online program. I have however, compiled a list of accredited vet tech schools in NY state, and other a list of accredited Vet tech that offers online courses. they are as below: BTW, the one in Florida seems to be the first one and the most established (based on my conversations with the techs) Hope this helps!

Be weary of any online courses. With so many frauds online, you need to keep your eyes wide open.
A vet tech course will need a lot of hands-on practical skills. Its impossible to teach and learn this through the internet. So, I doubt if there would be a vet tech course online. The ones that are online, are more or less "review" courses on specific topics. |
