| :) thank you for the reply. I know it is kind of a specific question. A pathologist who is also a theriogenologist asked me what system we used in Malaysia and I really had no idea so I decided to post it. I know it is kind of a long shot but dDo you know anybody who does do uterine biopsies in mares? or where you can send samples to? |

well i have not heard of anyone doing the uterine biopsies in m'sia. i would try asking the vet at the national stud farm, dr. thang, cos he seems to be the main equine repro man in the country that i know of. and i suppose the samples could be sent to pak sheikh at upm?
well thats my guess anyway. |

| You can send samples to UPM for pathology works but usually it will take some time. Of course you should be know what fixative to use for your sample (e.g. formalin or something else). If it is a special fixative then you either have to prepare it yourself or inform the pathology lab earlier to get your fixative prepared. Also you might want to specify what scoring system you would like to use. Otherwise your result might be just the description of histopath findings and you will have to decide the score yourself. |
