| Hi, I would like to find out is it true that wood shaving is bad for hamster and the paper base one is much better that wood one?? thanks |

Hi. :D
Yup...Woodshaving mainly Pine & Cedar are not advisable to use cause they contain aromatic olis that can cause respiratory problems...
However u can try using woodshavings that are 'untreated' such as Aspen but it's very difficult to find..
Paper base ones that I've heard of is CareFresh. It cost a bomb here!!
I've yet to try but I heard it's safer.... currently I'm using Corn Cobs..
Try getting wood shavings that are not Pine/Cedar..just to be safe.. |
