i would like to ask regarding the quarantine system in msia.
recently, i've ask the officer in animal dept back in sabah for
the process should i want top bring in my cats from p'sular msia.
to my surprise, he said that sabah and sarawak have banned
the import of cats and dogs from the psular due to the rabies
infection. and he did mentioned that should i still insist in doing
this, then i must send them through singapore first before they
can entered sabah. is it true? that means the procedure to get into singaporemust be really turf then.

should i hire a professional in this pet export thing, is there any
chances that my cat can go to sabah? plz help...

Last year November I rescued two 3mths old abandoned little kittens by the roadside in SS2 PJ. Now 1yr 2mths very healthy and playfull. They are my babies  .

My husband and me are planning to move back to KK Sabah early next year and want to bring them along with us too. I entered this blog to find out how the process goes coz all I found out is the process of bringing pets from overseas to Malaysia. I got a shock reading what didie271 wrote bout transporting cats and dogs to Sabah is banned  . I cant ever leave my two babies and I'm still determind to find out how ever we could bring our cats to KK Sabah. Could someone please help us on this.... Please, please!!!!

actually i want to send over my cat to my mother back there
in sabah. while i was there for the raya festive, i've asked an
officer at the jab. haiwan & ternakan. as far as i known before,
'exporitng' an iguana was a hassle but to hear to the officer's
explanation, i was kind of surprise. why so hard one??!!

well he said that it is so easy to export pets/ animals to the
peninsular. so disease such as rabies infection is hard to control.
i was kinda lost at this time coz as far as i concern i've never
heard of rabies outbreak in kl. not sure of other places though.
he says the only way that dogs and cats r allowed to be brought
in is to go through singapore first then to sabah/ swak. that's y
i assumed that the process of sending my cat to singapore first
would be costly.

should anyne had experience with this before would definite
b a great help. coz my cat would make a great companion for my mum
compare to an iguana or a hamster. please...
