I also have a friend. she got golden retriever about 4 month. the puppy look quite big from it age .. (my labrador borned on june, that goldie borned on july, but look at the size! bigger than my puppy!)
Her dog got diahrea, vomitting and lose her appetite. what i mean the puppy havent eat anything for 3 days!!!! i think the puppy is going to die. you know kampung kampung place dont have vet .. so she didn't bring her dog to vet.
Can the doctor here can give the medicine name (lysine or tablet) so she can buy it and can save her puppy! ??
When i see her dog, it was so thin and couldnt move. looked very weak.. what can i do to help her? |

I don't think it is a good idea to simply buy the medicine and "test out" if it works on the very ill puppy. Also the forum rules forbid the drug prescription from the vet.
If your friends is serious about her dog's health then by all means bring the puppy to the nearest vet. |

BAD NEWS, her dog passed away this afternoon. She is so upset about this. It's not her fault because there were no vet clinic to her nearest place. I think we should encourage the government to build a vet clinic for public in every town. Some people really dont know where to find a vet clinic in terengganu or any state(or other kampung area)
Thanks for your advice anyway. |

If the place u are at have no vets then perhaps the best thing to do in the future is get a fully vaccinated older dog. they are normaly larger and have slightly better immune systems.
I fully understand how u feel since i myself am from sarawak and the nearest vet is 185 km away...down river. yep for my GSD or silky terrier to get to a vet they have to ride a boat for almost 3 hours. |

| Uekifaz mentioned keep my doggies healthy...it is a paradox since i dont have vets to mointor my dogs and, hehehehe, i would rather climb mt everest then bring my dog to the vet! I did the next best thing...i became a vet. problem solved. just that a house call to my place wold cost me almost 1000 ringgit and 10 hours of travel door to door. |
