issit necessary to give supplements like calcium, vitamins and etc to dogs?
i have this 3 month old golden retriever who eats well and etc but many of my friends says that she's very small in size for a 3-month old puppy. i have been giving her doggie biscuit in the morning and canned food+doggie biscuit+rice for dinner. is this sort of diet sufficient for a growing puppy like her? |

Dog aged 3 months given commercial kibbles 2 to 3 times a day should be enough to supply what they needs unless there are special needs for your puppy. The amount and frequency of feeding is important. The guideline stated on the packaging of commercial kibbles can be used as start-up, then slowly modify to suit your puppy. In this case, supplements are usually luxurious and are optional. If you think that you puppy is not in the size it supposed to be for that breed or for that age, consult a vet to evaluate that. Certain diseases can possibly stunt a puppy's growth. |
