Yes. I think they are base in Puchong and cheras. Cremation you can take back ash, a nice urn, basket, photo frame and some flower.

If incineration, it will be dispose, cheaper.

If you are tight in budget, I don't see a point to do cremation. Dig a hole your self and make a nice grave like what we used to do. Dig a reasonably deep hole. Cover up. Collect lots and lots of stones and arranged it nicely. You can still go visit from time to time.

Cremation with return of ash in nice urn, is something luxury, nice to have, but actually I don't see much advantages. What are you going to do with the ash and urn? If you are thinking about memory, you can have lots of picture as a memory. Keep the memory of you dog while he/she is still healthy and make your memory stay there. If you really one, cut some hair from your dog, keep in the envelope, make it into a nice bookmark.

It doesn't matter to the dog make you do after he/she has passed on. It is what you do before that, that matters. My opinion, keep the budget, invest on your next pet, when you are ready to accept.

I had to put my own dog down due to renal failure early this year. I sent him for cremation. the main reason i tell my self is the same as yours calv. i have since moved from serdang to puchong and i brought the ashes with me. truth me told..that wwas not the main reason i sent for cremation. it was because i found it hard to let go. my dog, Itch have staied in bukit serdang in sri kembangan fo his intire life (he was found there) and truth be told, it may have been best to place him there. but i could not leave my buddy behind and i opt for cremation. May b for me i could afford it but what is a Rm500 final gift to my friend who was devoted for me for ten long years?

NOw Itch is in my new home and i am still thinking where to put him. when the time comes and i can finaly let go of him i will burry him in the lawn but til then he will remain with me. H had house mates when i waas a student who together with me were nuts about photography and i got many many beautiful pics of him. And so his memories lives on.

yes, I agree with you...Really hard to let go...although she is only 4 mths old...but i'm the one who give her life...saw her coming out from her mum womb then saw her dead for nothing....Just a fall on the floor and she is separated from me and her mum forever. I'm a quite stubborn person...hard to let go thing...so, cremation is my 1st thought and i did the coffin for her by myself...more comfortable for her...this what i can do for her since i spent not much time with her last time because busy with my university stuffs...Just hope she can be happy. Many people feel sad bout her death...many people care bout her and not like some people say 'it's just a dog, why cry till so suffer. Just get a new puppy' It's different. She is she and no one can replace her. JUST HOPE YOU GUYS REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR PETS...

If we as humans are lucky we will live to see the birth and death of our love one. That is how things are. I NEVER replace my dogs. They are special and it is unfair to compare one to another.

Now my 4 dogs live in the house. I bought a house and converted the down stairs room just for them. in the night i sleep in the sitting room with them and have been doing so for many years. so much so that in my new home i got an empty room upstairs and my pilows and sleeping bag/ yoga mat down stairs. most nights i have to fight for my spot to sleep. There is a bed in the dog room but that is for the dogs. So when the time comes for them to go, i will know that they got the best from me and nothing less. Of coz it helps to have house mates that think like me!! And a GF which knows better then to question me who is more important!

Dear Dr Dunker,

Could you share with me the name and address of the place you sent your dog for RIP cremation? I live in Serdang too. Appreciate it. Thanks.

i'm another one who finds it hard to let go... the very first dog i have is still with me, she's the only one, but i've already decided that when her time comes, i will have her cremated... a fren who is a dog owner thought it is silly of me, and other ppl who do not own any pet thought it's crazy... they always say that 'it is just a dog'... but to us, our dogs are definitely more than just a dog...
anyway, i hv the pet cremation service website and contact numbers... let me know if you want it and i'll PM you...

People that have not have the privilege of owning AND loving a pet are the ones at a lost. They think Pet owners silly for doing things like that but then they never felt the joy of returning home from work to a happy jumping dog wagging his tail. (In my case it is my cat, Bento-Potato, which greets me first).
