i have been babysit this green iguana, bobby for about 3 weeks now.
it belongs to my brother who's on vacation at this moment. i'm not sure whether it's male or female. and, assuming to its size, bobby is sub-adult
iguana who has been under my bro's care for almost 2 years now.
from day 1, bobby seems fine to me. the appetite is good.
but after day 5, i have noticed there's a swollen spot right on his
left side face. try to take a closer look, and the swollen thing
dah bengkak dan seems like bernanah under the skin. bobby's appetite
is still ok, but i'm sure that bobby is not comfortable while eating.
i have been feeding him green vegetables and seedless watermelon all
the time. so i was not sure when and why did the swollen occured.
my vet is not familiar with iguanas. n, with the time constraints,
i wun make it to the UVH as they do not open on sat nor sundays.
so, is there any other way that i can do to ease up swollen part
for the time being? |

| It's most probably an abscess, and this condition is very, very common in iguanas at this age. However, if properly treated by a vet, this problem carries a good prognosis, even though it's may be hard to prevent future recurrence. And you may also wait until week days when UVH open as this condition may not be an emergency usually. |
