Sure. You need to be good in biology to be good in your study in veterinary medicine

well...i do have a coursemate and a few juniors who didn't take any biology course duuring STPM and still manage to enter the program as it is not a requirement. But you do need to work harder as the rest of your coursemates will have a better understanding in what the lecturers are teaching. But no worry...my coursemate (the one mentioned above) still manage to catch up and is one the excelling student in my class. So no fear.

If one hates biology how does one expect to be in a profession where by we deal almost exclusively on biological subjects? Do what u are good at AND what u like. Not just what u like.

If I'm not mistaken, in UPM biology is required (at least during my time). Or maybe they also count SPM? A lot of other vet schools will accept non-biology students, as long as you have strong chemistry and maths, and take physics too.

In my humble opinion (IMHO) you need to know a great deal of biology, and better, love it. Imagine you are in the middle of surgery, you need to know all the anatomy in your fingertips in order to operate properly (without killing the animal). If you hate biology and force yourself to swallow every little facts in the book I bet you will not be able to remember very well and life can be very stressful for you in the vet school or even for your future career.
