One word to describe it...EXTRAVAGANT!!!!

I like that show. Very beautiful, although the story is quite sad. Should give the art director an award!

Cineleisure was having a Death Note marathon...you can watch the two installments back to back for RM16. But that was last week, i don't know if they're still having it or not....

The ending for the movie and the anime/manga are slightly different...(from what i heard)...but apparently they had a pre-release in Japan and tested the response of the viewers. Most of them liked the movie's ending.

Murderball? What sort of docu is that? In what language?

Yup, i agree with u, Dr TanDY, the costumes and set on Curse of the Golden Flower was really impressive...i was especially awed by the final gold coloured robes of Gong Li and Chow Yun Fatt! I also liked the part where they stormed the castle...the contrasting colours of gold and black of the soldiers' armour. And the amount of chrysanthemums! Covered with blood some more!

Actually the art direction reminded me of 'Hero". The movie with Jet Li, Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu Wai. I liked that movie too. Great storyline....

Yup, the story was sad...so dysfunctional the family.... :(

Can't wait for Transformers the Movie...!

Anyone interested in desperate housewives?I just love the character Bree Hodge. She played her character perfectly. She's also gorgeous, not in sexy way but she's just got the "upper crust" look.Loves the way she tried to make everything seems perfect and under control.

Hey what's the latest movie you guys watched?

Just caught '300'. Very nice....

Like a cross between V for Vendetta and Gladiator.

From the director of Sin City, it stays true to its 'graphic novel' origins (BTW i still can't get the heck of it being called a graphic novel instead of comic. What's wrong with 'comic' anyway? Go figure!)

Action is very stylised....Sepia coloured all throughout the movie...... but who cares? It is one big fighting scene!

Loved it! 8)

Oh BTW, the Malay translation for the title was.... 300 Pahlawan Sedia Mati!
I mean like...huh?
Keep it simple lah! Sounds better what......

Hey there,
I saw 300 a few days ago...worth going another time if u ask me, just love it. But it is a real guy movie i think unless the girls like to see the toned bodies of 300 semi clad men tearing the hell out of their Persian counterparts...not a bad thing acctually, unless the gal is ur GF and u find that u are hoplessly out of shape!!!

In the novel and the movie, they focused on 300 ppl but in actual fact there were over a thousand other fighters form other cities that fought along side them too. on top of that it was the naval force from Athens i think that fought and won the naval battle that prevented Persian resupply. The fight 1 year later was not against a million but about 300 thousand i think.(recent findings says that both numbers were a gross over estimate) It have been a long time since i read about Greek history and a bit rusty. But to be sure, the Spartans were damn good fighters both as a singular individual and as an army.

300 times 6 packs
= 1,800 abdominal packs!

Droooool......

300 is gory BLARDY (emphasize again on the BLARDY) cool, with all the slashing and sticking... :)

But the thing that spoils it is how Xerxes is depicted as a homosex!!! EWWWW....

Pan's Labyrinth is awesome. The art director did the job very well - from concept art sketch to actual execution. It is definitely not for kids. See this...

and the shocking screenshots of the show - the "pale man"...!

Ok, i know half the darn globe have alredy watch Transformers. Just had a chance to watch it on sunday. and wow was it a great movie, even more so for a military tech nut like me. THe movie open with OV-22A osprays which have just entered US service a few months ago and the first operational suardron have not even formed yet as of last month. Then tehre were A-10 Thunderbolt II and AC-130 Spector gunships which was called in for air strikes. Of coz there ware the F/A-22A Raptors Used in the last airstrike of the movie and was the choice of the iconic decepticon Starscream. For those who paid attention there were F-117 nighthawks ind F-16 Fighting falcons in the background.

For guys who arnt into military hardware, there is also cool US cars. There were All US muscle cars though. The Camaro (bumble bee), Mustang (Barricade), Pontiac Solstace (Jazz), a hell of a big pickup GMC Tppkick (Iornhide). The Autobot Ratchet is a modified Hummer H2, cant get much bigger then that.

All in all a perfect guy movie and for those of you in my generation who grew up with the Transfprmers cartoon and loved it, you must watch the movie....heck i think i will watch it again.

Ah, Optimuus Prime, Ithe perfect hero and the idol of many many kids in the 80's. With a name like that it is tough NOT to imagine a heroic fighter. With catch phrases like "Autobots transform and roll out" etched im my mind he was a character of wonder. and when the original voice was used inthe movie many many flashbacks of G1 played in my mind. I went like "holy $#!*, i know that voice!"...way cool.

I never got to watch where and how Prime died since i only had most of the first season on videotape and some of the second season as well. By the time i was 10 or so i have lost interest in transformers.

By the way i still dont understand why they used the voice of an Elven lord for Megatron...
