eh, i think you should check out Gundam Seed and Destiny! i also like excessively powerful mecha and pilot. i mean, its a bit nihillistic but hey... boleh lah in boleh land.

while i used to rigorously follow bleach, i find it tiresome these days. but i still think you should let Gundam seed and destiny pass like that!

happy watching.

I watch a few episodes of Endless waltz. Quite amazing. I found a comic shop in Bkt Serdang that is renting GS, V Gundam... I just rented some Initial Anime there.

Try Macross Zero. Very nice artwork, although only very little episodes. Enjoy the anime a lot. Evangelion also not bad.

Problem about the later gundams is that they have departed so far from logic. thew beauty of the original gundam is that the zaku and the gm and rx-78 were almost posible and logical. with the presence of angel wings on the gundam wing and the bat wings on the death scythe are departing too far from the laws of physics (yup, i am in it for the mechs). And whats with ultra young pilots anyway?

Macross zero was good. loved the art work. but then i got a soft spot for military fighter jets.

yeah, macross! all i remember is the girl min mei? the first macross was good, with all the space fight. but it gets messy when they came to earth and fight in the subsequent series.

the latest one i watched was the hikaru no go, about this kid playing the japanese game 'go'. it is the strangest that the japanese can come up with to write a story isnt it? probably chemically induced inspirations? well anyway, they are really good and i believe they are the class leaders in animation worldwide.

i remember watching Princess Mononoke in Auckland in the cinema, and that was most entertaining! better than many hollywood brain-busters.

Just watch initial D the movie last night....they should hav let the jsps handle that. While the car action was ok (yep ok only, tokyo drift was good), the acting was crabbie. Prefer to watch the animae. Dr Han, u should check out macros zero, it is the prequel to what we watch when we were kids.

Actually, they didn't came to earth to fight. Macross zero is a prequel to Macross. It happens before the alien ship crash, and before the zentradi invation.
Macross is my fav mecha anime. I'm trying to get my hands on the whole collection but could find it.

Yes, Hayao Miyazaki film. If you like that, then you must watch "Spirited Away".
Another one a few years ago is "Howl's Moving Castle". I haven't watch it though.

If you guys are into anime movie, try "Ghost in the Shell". There are 2 movies, with spectacular grafic

Yep, som one else recomended me the movie recently. but aside from the mech anime, i have really not watch much jap animation aside for samurai X and a bit of slam dunk (i read the malay version ofthe manga). I did NOT understand nor enjoy 'Spirited away'. Much too deep for me. I just like seeing two sides whacking the hell off one another.

have watched Spirited Away and Ghost in the Shell (the first one). Actually, Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll was the first animes that got me hooked on this genre.

Yeah, dunker, spirited away didnt do it for me also. maybe not enough blood and gore for me or perhaps there werent any wanton disregard for public property. akira was good. it was a TOTAL disregard for public property. any good anime you guys think i should spend my money on? im watching the Law of Ueki now. You know lah, sometime clients come in droves, and sometimes you have all the time in the world.

Hi how's everyone? Haven't been online for the past few weeks 'cos pc 'died'ed! Now got brand, spanking new pc!!! Hahahahaha

Yup Bleach is good for the first half...very cool storyline....Now into 2nd half feels like the episodes are just fillers to prolong the life of the anime...same thing with Naruto... was really good for the first 100+ episodes or so until Sasuke went off with the bad guy...now all the episodes are fillers while waiting for Naruto to grow up!!! Stopped chasing after Naruto already but still watching Bleach!

Has anyone tried Blood+? Pretty good...just watched the first few episodes...

How about Full Metal Alchemist? One of the best animes/manga of all time! The best part is that it is all finished! So you can know the ending!

Never was into Gundam n stuff....too much mechs....but i used to like to watch Ultraman cartoons when i was a kid....Not the humans in suits type, but real cartoons... Pretty cool...but now no more already....

Starting on a few new animes...tell u all if they are good...

Yeah,I'm also waiting for naruto to grow up.I've stopped downloading the anime, but still continue to follow the manga. As for bleach, the filler episodes is quite good, so still following.

Akira is very good anime. The story differs from the manga but its still good. It is said that this film has become a revision for lots of western film director.

Onepiece is another good anime imo. it has action, hell lot of comedy, but no romance. Evangelion, a mech anime, but the story is kind of comlicated and somehow religious. I've watch several times, but still not sure I understand it all. But the mecha is kind of cool.

ghost06, tell me more about Blood. It might twick my interest.

Blood+ is about a girl (Saya) who has the special ability to kill vampires. Or rather she is the only one who can do it because of her blood. Actually she wields a sword, and when she wants to kill the vampire, she has to cut herself to allow her blood to flow through the sword and when her blood contacts the vampire's blood, it will die...

The vampires do not look human (not Count Dracula type), they are actually some kind of genetic mutants created by the americans....called chiropterans...but they suck blood and whoever they bite will turn into chiropterans...there is a big cover-up and everyone wants to get Saya.

It is really bloody and hack/slash kind of anime...but cool....i stopped watching it for a while cos couldn't get the following episodes...it has only 50 episodes....just finished i think....

Akira was really good.....enjoyed it...

Now am following D-Gray Man. It is a lot like Full Metal Alchemists...humorous and tackles a lot of social issues etc....It is about exorcists and demons....trying to prevent each other from overtaking the world....so far so good....

I think Blood+ was featured in The Star last sunday...i saw a pic of someone dressed up as Saya.....
