I give my cats 'Missing Link', which is high in Omega 3 and Omega 5. It is recommended by the pet shop, said it works wonders on their cat. So far, I have not seen any drastic changes on my cats yet.
I am not sure what other alternatives there are out there. Anyone has any recommendations? |

As Dr. Nat said, cats need all essential vitamins for optimal growth. However, B-Complex is often preceived as essential for growth. It promotes appetite where cat has issue of not eating well, so you might find a thin cat putting up weight quite rapidly after administrating the right dosage. Some B like Biotin is directly related to overall growth and muscle development. B-Complex is water soluble, so its relatively safe for cats but you still need to administrate the correct dossage.
I too been providing suplementary fatty acid and the result has been fantastic. The skin and coat seems to be very healthy and my pets seem to love the taste. I use Wild Salmon oil by the way. |

Wild Salmon Oil? Which brand?
Actually Pepper has a weight problem. She is extremely skinny and does not seemed to have much appetite, despite all the food I try to feed her. Any recommendation for B-Complex supplements? |

B-complex only can buy from vet. I gave to my cat to increase the appetite. but not working for her she refuse to eat the tablet. Btw my persian so fussy. All suplement she wont take until she get skinny. How ya? i wont force to eat but am worry everytime see her skinny. |

Sorry for the late reply, been busy lately.
For B-Complex, you can get these from pharmarcies , not just the vets. I am currently using Big 50 from GNC. What i do is i crush a tablet and spinkle just a little over the food each day. Each tablet will last over a week or 2 depending the amount of cats you have. Its best to serve with wet food and make sure you mix well. You can over sprinkle if you want as there are no risk of overdosing the vitamin B. But the cats would not touch the food is if the smell or taste is too strong.
For source of Omega supplements, I use GNC's Salmon Oil 1000. Pop the capsule with a needle or a sharp instrument, and squeeze a few drops over the food.
I only do this every other day as the kittens do get vitamins and supplements from their daily food source. And when it comes to supplements, just dont overdo it. Provide small dosage but be consistent.
Why GNC ? Well, i often get my vitamins and supplements from there so over the years i have collected points from my purchase. Every purchase somewhat gained me free supplements for my cats. |

hey bpie,
Yep they do. Saw it the last time i was there. IF you going to frequent getting extra supplements from there, become a member there. They will send you news letter whenver a sale or special price going. You will also get member discounts and points that you can later redeem for the products they carry. Pretty good deal if you ask me. |

| You can get a high concentration B complex liquid from JPH Wilayah Persekutuan. It helps in improving the appetite and well being of the cat. This is also one liquid which cat doesn't froth. You should know how difficult it is to give supplements to cats. |
