Dear All Doctors, :)
I bought a Labrador Retriever puppy. She is going to be 4 months by the end of october. The ex-owner had brought the puppy for the 1st jab in KL somewhere. After sold to me, I brought my puppy to the nearest vet which is "PUSAT PERKHIDMATAN HAIWAN" (dont have private vet nearby my area)
The officer injected and dewormed my puppy. After finished, HE TOLD ME TO COME BY NEXT YEAR. "NEXT YEAR? i thought puppy are supposed to have 3 jabs and once a year right? Then i asked him what about the 3rd jab when will it be 8)
Then the officer said with this expression on his face
 "Huh? 3rd jab? We only do annual vaccination"
I was like "WHAT THE HELL? :!: " Then I asked him what kind of vaccine he just injected to my puppy. He couldn't answer me ..
:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
 Can somebody explain to me? :?: |

| Do you have the vaccination card provided by them? It will say what vaccine it was. Another thing, did you ask if the person injecting your dog was a vet or a vet assistant? Usually vet assitants only do what the vet tells them to do, without knowing the reason why. Perhaps you should speak to the vet in charge there to explain what was given to your dog and why. |

Remember that it is 20 ringgit of a unknown vaccine done by a person that cant tell if u need a 4th jab (which is what a large breed lab needs) or not or if the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th jabs are the same or not. or even what the vaccines are for.
BUt make no mistake, a gov clinic in the area is better the none at all!!!! |

| Think of vaccination as more of a service than a product. If you compare product price, then yes, the govm clinic is cheaper. But if you compare service, is RM20 reasonable for that type of service? Wouldn't you rather pay twice the price for a more professional service? |
