Briefing On Avian Flu

KUCHING, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- The state Veterinary Department will conduct two briefings on "Notifiable Avian Influenza" to update the public on the disease at the Agriculture Institute here next Monday and Tuesday.
The Monday briefing would be conducted in Mandarin with slides in English while the Tuesday briefing would be in Bahasa Malaysia, with both briefings starting at 2.30pm, the department said in a statement here Monday.
"Target groups of this briefing are poultry farmers, pet shop operators, chicken slaughterers, wet market retailers and interested individuals," the statement added.
